This isn’t a booze cruise, but yeah, there’s booze (so 21+ only, please). You’ll get three drink tickets and a front-row seat to the world-famous Chicago River dyeing, where the water turns green all around you. Then it’s our iconic cruise down the river with appropriately festive music to jig to (you’ll be on the water about 2 hours in total).

Only Chicago dyes its river Shamrock green, and only Wendella cruises you right through it. Every March, our St. Patrick’s Day Cruise puts you in the middle of the action with a spirited two-hour ride along the Chicago River.

Our Chicago St. Patrick’s Day River Cruise gives you unbeatable views of the river turning green, one of the city’s most iconic traditions. Your ticket includes three drinks (with a cash bar available if you’re feeling extra celebratory), plus festive music and a boat full of fellow revelers.

This isn't a guided tour, but our crew is always happy to answer questions as you cruise past some of Chicago’s most famous sights. We start near the Wrigley Building and float down the Chicago River, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of downtown while raising a glass (or two) to St. Patrick. Most guests head straight for the open-air upper deck, but if the breeze picks up, you can cozy up on the lower level, where you’ll find restrooms and comfortable indoor seating.

This Chicago St. Patrick’s Day boat tour is 21+ only. Boarding begins 15 minutes before departure, and the dyeing doesn’t wait, so don’t be late.

Celebrate like a local on the best St. Patrick’s Day cruise Chicago has to offer: with unbeatable views, cold drinks, and no crowds.

• Front-row seat to the river dyeing!
• Three drink tickets
• Open-air and indoor seating
• Friendly crew to answer your questions
• Festive music
• Iconic skyline views
• Restrooms on board

We depart rain or shine; Chicago weather is unpredictable, but our boats are built for it. We recommend arriving at the dock 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time since boarding typically begins 15 minutes prior. All bags are subject to screening, and outside alcohol or weapons are not allowed. Please bring valid ID with you, as this cruise is 21+. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable after the scheduled departure time. Not sure where to go? Head to 400 N Michigan Avenue, right by the historic Wrigley Building at the northwest corner of the DuSable (Michigan Avenue) Bridge. For additional info chat with us, or give us a call.

We have a selection of local favorites available for purchase, including snacks, candy, soft drinks, beer, wine, hard seltzer, cider, and cocktails. Find our full Menu here.

Our boats are wheelchair accessible from our West Dock, with a ramp to the upper deck. All of our boats have ADA-compliant restrooms. Some of our boats have an elevator from the upper to lower deck, where the bar and restrooms are located. Please call us in advance on 312-337-1446 so we can assist.
