At Wendella, every customer is important.
We recognize there are many individuals
with disabilities who may require accessible
facilities in order to fully utilize our service. While there are no current regulations by the United States Coast Guard concerning existing vessels, we are making every effort to make our facilities and vessels fully accessible.
Our Vessels - We currently operate six vessels, all of which can fit a wheelchair on board. Three of those vessels, the M/V Bravo (used for the RiverBus service), Ouilmette and Sunliner have ADA compliant restrooms. The Ouilmette also includes and elevator for access to the upper deck. Currently under construction, the new Wendella will also feature ADA restrooms and a chair lift for access to the upper deck.
Our Docks (facilities) - Both our RiverBus dock at Madison Street and our Main Dock at Michigan Avenue are accessed by a SET OF STAIRS. While entering our main location at Michigan Avenue via the lower level reduces those stairs in half, stairs are still required.
Due to a recently passed State of Illinois and City of Chicago ordinance banning smoking in public places, all our vessels and facilities (docks) are designated non-smoking areas. This includes all tours, special events, private charters and the RiverBus Passenger Ferry. Your cooperation is appreciated.
Starting in 2006, discounted parking is now available at STATE KINZIE WABASH SELF PARK. The lot, owned and operated by Standard Parking, is located at 401 North State Street and can be accessed off of Wabash Avenue. Guests of Wendella can receive $5 off parking. To receive the discount, ask for a "chaser" coupon from our ticket office at the time of your ticket purchase.
Please Note. Chaser tickets are subject to availabilty.
